My 4 year old son who has always believed that Santa Clause asked the Easter Bunny for directions to everyone’s houses, found out that Santa Clause was made up. He told me later his theory that the Easter Bunny just is too humble to take credit for both holidays and Santa Clause is his cover. IMMD

      Yeeeah, 4’s a little young. I think I was like… almost 10.

I was eight. Playing hide’n’seek with my little sister, I stumbled upon our presents. Mentioned it to my mother, who was worried I’d ruin it for my sister and tried to convince me I’d stumbled upon storebought presents for my cousins. Somehow, a Sega Megadrive seemed a little pricey as a gift for the nephew she almost never saw :)

Damn, I was like six. Can’t remember how I found out, but I wasn’t disappointed. I kind of thought it was bull.

My sister-in-law told her daughter from the start that Santa was make-believe. Strangely, the same sister-in-law takes her daughter to church every week…

            LOL

In due time, the child will figure out what is real and what is made up. Your SIL however, apparently has already drank the kool-aid.

It is fun when small children say “my parents don’t lie to me.” Got quite a few flustered looks with that line growing up. /smirk

    I was 2 .-.
    Is that bad?

  6. Nick says:

I think you mean ‘Santa Claus’ without the ‘e’. The Santa Clause was a bad seasonal comedy movie.

  7. J. says:

I never believed in Santa Claus, I don’t think that’s bad. I don’t get why we should be lying to kids anyway.

The easter bunny theory is win, though. <3
    So adorable.

I was about 6 or 7, I was telling my brother how I’d get a lot of presents since I had been good and he yelled at me “WELL SANTA’S NOT REAL!” so I ran back to my mom and told her, she just kinda stared at me. “And next you’re gonna tell me the Easter Bunny doesn’t exist!” More blank stare, I started crying. “He doesn’t, does he?”

  9. Rawr says:

I believe that the Santa Clause was horrible.
